Corrections and removal requests
Last updated
We work to keep every profile accurate and fair. We do not take part in spreading false or defamatory information.
If you find something wrong on a profile, please tell us.
Who can send a request
Anyone can send a correction request or a removal request, including a leader or their office.
A request asks us to review a profile. It does not give anyone access to edit the profile.
How to send a request
Send an email to this address:
What to include
Please include the link to the profile, what is wrong and, if you have one, a source that shows the correct information.
What we correct and remove
We correct errors.
We remove private details, such as a personal phone number, a home address or family members who are not public figures.
Accurate information about a leader's public role stays on the profile.
GILinfo decides what it publishes. We may change, keep or remove any content at our discretion.
When to expect a reply
We try to reply as soon as possible, usually within about seven days. Some requests take longer to check.
